Making A Difference as a Day Centre Officer in Community Participation Services

A 30 hour per week, Day Centre Officer position has become available at the award-winning Kershaw Day Support Centre.

To complement our award-winning team, we are looking to recruit a Day Centre Officer for a fantastic day service, supporting people with a range of age related and dual conditions including Dementia. Learning, Physical, and Sensory Conditions. Kershaw Day Support Centre accommodates up to sixty people per day and is in Newton-Le-Willows. The service offers building based day care support.

As a Day Centre Officer, you will be expected to work across both service areas, offering support, guidance taking a lead role when necessary. Kershaw Day Support Centre is a very busy place, and you will actively be involved in operational business, case file management, implementing, evaluating person cantered care and support needs of the people who are referred to the centre. The successful post holder will need to be able to respond to differing demands and prioritise tasks in conjunction with the team members and manager that they are supporting. There will be frequent telephone contact with service users, carers and other professionals, knowledge and experience in good customer care, willingness to be flexible around the needs of our service users and motivation to work in a busy dynamic environment is essential.
