Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and patient Learning Assistant to provide
support to a pupil with special educational needs in Lower KS2.

This post is temporary subject to funding or when the child leaves the school and will cease in line with this.

The successful candidate will uphold our school values of Friendship, Compassion, Forgiveness,
Respect, Truthfulness and Trust, Perseverance and Thankfulness, whilst developing a love of
learning for our children.

The successful candidate will be expected to have good communication and organisational skills
and be able to relate well to children. They will need to demonstrate positive behaviour
management.

Experience of working with Early Years/KS1 children; supporting children with additional needs
(such as ASD, ADHD) and children with challenging behaviour would be an advantage. A TEAM
TEACH qualification would also be desirable

NVQ Level 2 qualification or working towards NVQ Level 2 is desirable, as is experience of
working as a Teaching Assistant supporting learning in a primary school setting.

This post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure
Certificate.
