The Property Team at St Helens has recently been redesigned to create four specific team areas under the leadership of our Head of Property.

The four teams; Customer Services & Business Support, Facilities & Building Maintenance, Design & Major Projects and Commercial Estates, have been redesigned to meet our vision of being a proactive manager of our assets and a customer focused provider of services that will facilitate outcomes for our residents and our clients through improved customer experience, better use of public estate, greater financial efficiency, achievement of our borough priorities and contribution to the Councils transformation programme.

Building Surveyor
Salary Circa £40k pa | 37 Hours pw | Post Ref PAM16

We are seeking two experienced building surveyors to join our team and provide an efficient, effective and professional service in the delivery of our reactive and planned maintenance programmes, condition surveys, school improvement programmes and planned preventative maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering all areas of surveying maintenance across a varied portfolio of buildings including; education, leisure, public buildings, libraries and commercial / rental units.

Reporting to the Building Surveying Manager, the successful applicant will join an existing team of Building Surveyors, Asbestos Management Officer, Client Service Co-Ordinator, Assistant Client Services Co-ordinator and an Apprentice Surveyor whilst working alongside, in the wider Facilities and Building Maintenance Team, with our Facilities Management Officer, Assistance Facilities Management Officer, Statutory Servicing Engineers (x2) and our Energy Performance Officer.
